It&#8217;s an exceptional <strong>7km-long<\/strong> promenade, from the old town to the Playa de la Victoria. We loved the view of the cathedral standing majestically in the background.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can watch the locals go about their daily business while admiring the buildings that line this <strong>seafront promenade<\/strong>. Built in the <strong>1st century BC<\/strong>, it could accommodate up to <strong>10,000 spectators<\/strong>. You&#8217;ll be impressed by its architectural features, which blend Greek and Roman influences.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site, discovered during excavations in 1980, still retains its<strong>interior galleries<\/strong> and terraces, which ingeniously adapt to the uneven terrain. We enjoyed wandering through its narrow, mostly pedestrian streets, especially as most of them are shaded. If you look up, you&#8217;ll see <strong>bay windows<\/strong> and magnificent <strong>balconies<\/strong> with rich decorative details.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So many details that testify to the exceptional heritage of this city, considered to be the <strong>oldest in Europe<\/strong>.
