Is Hotel Only You worth it? Our review
We were won over by the sleek design of the Only You Malaga hotel, nestled between the historic center and the eclectic Soho district. We were really impressed by the attention to detail in the rooms and the incredible view from the roof-top pool.
Finally, its location close to the Port of Malaga and the Paseo del Parque park, on the border between the beach and the historic center, makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the city.
For us, this is without doubt one of the best hotels in Malaga!
Decoration and atmosphere
The atmosphere at Hotel Only You in Malaga is cosy and warm. Decorated by the Proyecto Singular architectural firm, it blends art deco style with a Mediterranean touch. The staff are welcoming, smiling and discreet, helping to create a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere for customers.
You’ll also find some cosy corners to relax in during your stay.

The room
Our room offered a warm, soothing ambience, with subdued lighting, a palette of neutral tones (camel, gray) and noble materials.
We loved the dialogue between the woven carpet, the textured fabric curtains and the leather armchairs, which combined harmoniously. Textile-covered walls, half-lights and industrial-design lamps added an elegant contemporary touch.
We slept remarkably well in the king-size bed with cotton sheets and appreciated the adjustable lighting system!
Among the little touches we noticed were the Marshall base for listening to music, the Nespresso machine with unlimited pods, and the little straw hat for the pool.
Some rooms also offer pleasant terraces with city views.

The bathroom
We particularly appreciated the ingenious design of the partition between the bathroom and the bedroom, in the form of a ridged wooden partition, allowing the space to be modulated by opening or not opening onto the bedroom. In addition to this design trick, the contrast between the warm wood of the partition and the waxed concrete floor brought a modern touch to the whole.
The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, with a separate toilet. We also found hygiene products from the Codage cosmetics brand, plush bathrobes and slippers.
The breakfast
Only You Malaga’s buffet breakfast is a real treat. It features a wide range of sweet products (pastries, cakes, home-made yoghurts in a variety of flavours) and savoury products (local cheeses and charcuterie).
A special mention goes to the corner dedicated to local specialities, where you can savour typical Malaga sweets, such as tarifas, sugar doughnuts, addifctives!
We also appreciated the attention paid to presentation, with small pieces of natural wood furniture adding an authentic touch, far removed from the standardized buffets of the big hotel chains. In addition to the cold buffet, the restaurant offers hot dishes to order! For our part, we enjoyed scrambled eggs and a fresh juice of the day.
Last but not least, breakfast was all the more enjoyable with the beautiful view of Malaga, the port and the first rays of the sun.
Equipment and common areas
Hotel Only You Malaga features a roof-top swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the port. This infinity pool is surrounded by a small solarium equipped with deckchairs and a plant wall for optimal relaxation. Please note that the swimming pool is reserved for adults, ensuring a quiet space.
As for the gym, the hotel offers a wide choice of equipment for fitness enthusiasts. You’ll find treadmills, a rowing machine, a bike, weights and all the yoga equipment you need (mats, bands, bricks, balls). Towels are provided, as well as fresh water to quench your thirst.
The restoration
The hotel’s Sky Bar Lolita is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering a beautiful view of the harbor and the bell tower of Malaga Cathedral. Note that there are very few seats in this bar, so it’s advisable to arrive early.
Two restaurants are also available at the hotel: Restaurant Carmen, on the first floor, offers a large counter and a few tables on the street, featuring a wide range of fusion tapas (gyozas, croquetas) and cocktails.
Restaurant Lola, on the 7th floor, offers a more elaborate market cuisine. This is the same bright space where you’ll have breakfast!

Only You Malaga is within easy reach of the city’s main access points:
- From the airport, it takes 20 minutes by cab or 40 minutes by public transport (Cercanías line C1, then a 20-minute walk) to reach the hotel.
- From the station, it takes just 10 minutes by metro (line 1, El Perchel stop).
- From the historic center, it’s just a few minutes’ walk. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions such as the Cathedral of the Incarnacion (5min), Alcazaba (10min).
Parking
The establishment does not have its own parking lot, but a public parking lot is available nearby: Parking Parkigrund, SA at the following address: Calle. Vendeja, 34.
For people with reduced mobility
