The best hotels in Sevilla: our 4 favorites
Before discovering our detailed reviews of each of the establishments we have selected, take a look at our 4 favorite addresses.
Best luxury hotel: Lobby Room Hotel
We were delighted with our stay at the Lobby Room Hotel. In addition to the friendliness of the staff and their acute sense of service, we were won over by the magnificent decor of this 5-star establishment. The location was also ideal: we had a superb view of the cathedral from both the rooftop and our room!
See photos, prices and availability.
Best aparthotel: Aquitania Home Suites
This aparthotel offers spacious and particularly comfortable apartments. Our kitchen was well-equipped and we also had breakfast products on hand! The lounge area was perfect for relaxing, as was the rooftop pool overlooking the rooftops of Sevilla’s historic center.
See photos, prices and availability.
Best affordable hotel: Hotel H10 Corregidor
We were pleasantly surprised by this high-quality 3-star hotel. Although small, our room was comfortable and included all the necessary amenities. We liked the elegant decor of the common areas, as well as the rooftop with its small swimming pool.
See photos, prices and availability.
Best hotel with typical decor: Hotel Ateneo
We fell in love with the patio of this 4-star hotel. It featured a flamboyantly colored Rococo salon and a small fountain. The many plants gave this typically Andalusian establishment a lush feel.

Where to stay in Sevilla: best districts
Why stay in Sevilla?
We highly recommend staying overnight in Sevilla. Capital of the region, it’s the ideal starting point for visiting the rest of Andalucia. The city has excellent rail links. In addition, the hotel offer is of good quality. Finally, you’ll have a wide choice of activities to keep you busy for several days!
Sevilla’s best places to stay: map
As many quality, affordable hotels are located in the historic center, we’ve chosen not to introduce you to the Triana and Isla de la Cartuja districts (on the left bank of the Guadalquivir River), which we feel are too far from the center of town. Here’s our map to help you get your bearings, with the main areas to stay in Sevilla:
Staying in the city center
In Sevilla’s historic district, you’ll find the hypercenter, home to iconic tourist attractions like the cathedral. Enjoy the lively life of Sevilla, with its many bars, restaurants and boutiques.
Benefits:
- easy access to tourist sites on foot,
- numerous bars, restaurants and shops,
- wide choice of hotels.
Disadvantages:
- tourist influx,
- slightly higher prices (especially near the cathedral)
- parking problems,
- cobbled streets.
Our favorite hotels:
Staying in El Arenal
The El Arenal district runs alongside the Guadalquivir. We appreciated its 2 facets. One lively by the river, the other quieter in the more secluded alleyways. These alleys conceal a pleasant market (the El Arenal market) and some very good restaurants, which you can find in our article on the best restaurants to eat in Sevilla. The most popular tourist attraction is the bullring, from which the district takes its name.
Benefits:
- quick access to the Guadalquivir and its lively quays,
- quick access to the city center,
- very good restaurants.
Disadvantages:
- night-time rush to the quays,
- few stores,
- noise and heavy traffic to the docks.
Our favorite hotels:
Staying in the Museo district
This is the second district along the Guadlquivir, north of El Arenal. As its name suggests, it houses Sevilla’s Museum of Fine Arts, as well as a number of churches worth a visit, including the Real Parroquia de Santa María Magdalena. Quiet and residential, it’s the perfect choice for a peaceful stay.
Benefits:
- peace and quiet off the main roads,
- few visitors,
- bus station (including buses to the airport),
- quick access to the city center.
Disadvantages:
- few bars, restaurants and shops,
- few major tourist attractions,
- south of the city.
Our favorite hotels:
Staying in Regina
We’re now heading north of the historic center. Regina is a lively district adjacent to the city center. It includes iconic sights such as Las Setas and the Palacio de las Dueñas. We liked its small squares and its proximity to the nearby Feria district. Authentic and lively, it is home to the Alameda de Hércules promenade, with its many bars and restaurants.
Benefits:
- immediate proximity to the hypercentre,
- close proximity to the Feria district,
- all amenities.
Disadvantages:
- a fair amount of traffic,
- significant attendance at Las Setas,
- parking problems.
Our favorite hotels:
Staying in Santa Cruz
Now we’re off to the south of Sevilla’s old town! Santa Cruz is a must-see when visiting the capital of Andalucia. In fact, this is where you’ll find the Alcazar and its magnificent gardens. It’s quite a leafy district, with a whole stretch of narrow, picturesque streets next to the Hospital de Los Venerables.
Benefits:
- atypical environment (narrow streets, white buildings, small squares…)
- close proximity to the Alcazar,
- immediate proximity to the hypercentre,
- easy streetcar access (Puerta de Jerez stop).
Disadvantages:
- few shops, bars and restaurants,
- very large number of tourists,
- very difficult to park (narrowness),
- few hotel choices.
Our favorite hotels:
Other useful tips to keep in mind
We strongly advise you to book your hotels in advance, especially during the peak spring season. This is particularly true during Semana Santa (the week of religious processions through the city leading up to Easter) and the Feria de Abril (mid-April). During these world-famous festivities, prices soar and crowds are huge.
Please note that the criteria for awarding stars to hotels vary from country to country. Most tourist accommodation is in traditional buildings. Pools are therefore generally on the roof and are more for cooling off than for swimming.
RENT A CAR IN Andalucia
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.

4. Apparthotel Aquitania Home Suites (4 stars)
Why stay there?
What struck us as we entered our apartment at Aquitania Home Suites was its size! We had plenty of space, both in the comfortable living room and in the spacious bathroom with its walk-in shower. The modern decor, featuring natural materials such as wood and rattan, really appealed to us. This was particularly true of the kitchen, which was both functional and contemporary. Well-equipped, it featured a wide range of utensils for cooking just as easily as at home! On the table we had fruit and pastries for breakfast. Why stay there?
This establishment is located in the center of Sevilla, on the pleasant Plaza Magdalena. It offers an elegant setting for your stay. The decor, with its skilful blend of sobriety and deep, vivid colors, made a lasting impression on us. It featured furniture with clean lines. In addition to its aesthetic qualities, the hotel boasts a wide range of facilities, including a business center, outdoor pool and gym. But it’s his restaurant that makes him so famous. Helmed by chef Eneko Atxa Azurmendi, the restaurant’s revisited Basque cuisine has earned it a place in the Michelin Guide. You can find it in our list of the best restaurants to eat in Sevilla!

6. Hotel Casa del Poeta (4 stars)
Why stay there?
We had trouble finding this hotel, hidden away in a very narrow alley in the old town. Who would have thought that this modest façade houses a spacious establishment with a magnificent Sevillian patio? And yet it is! If you like traditional Andalusian style, we recommend this accommodation for your stay! You won’t be disappointed, with the cathedral only 250m away! Despite its proximity to Sevilla’s major tourist attractions, the environment is calm. This adds to the magic of the place at nightfall, when the patio’s orange facades turn red with the lighting. Terrace, library, massage parlour – everything you need for a relaxing stay!

7. Apparthotel Numa Prestigio Apartments (4 stars)
Why stay there?
Behind this sublime façade lies an aparthotel that will not leave you indifferent. As far as we’re concerned, we were won over by its interior design. Unlike most Sevilla accommodation, the furnishings are simple, uncluttered and contemporary, with a few touches of color on specific elements (headboards, cushions…). The kitchens are large, modern and well-equipped. Breakfast can be ordered. We weren’t disappointed by the common areas: the rooftop hides a pleasant terrace and a small swimming pool open all year round. The best part? A view of Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de España.

We return to the hypercentre to present this elegant 4-star establishment. As you enter, you’ll find a large lounge with ample seating and azulejos, as well as a reception area featuring a large display case with decorative plates. Why stay there?
Casa Alhaja is ideally located just a stone’s throw from the cathedral. Its rooftop offers an exceptional view of the Giralda tower. You can even sit back and admire it from the comfort of the outdoor pool! The bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed, with a sitting area. The decor is uncluttered and rather modern, yet warm thanks to the use of noble materials (wood, ornamental stones on the walls…). We really liked the glass roof on the first floor, and the entrance hall with its blue azulejos. Breakfast is well provided. And if you’re allergic, this hotel is perfect for you, as it has allergy-friendly rooms.

Why stay there?
This hotel left us speechless! What we didn’t expect to find behind this rather modest façade was this magnificent, particularly exuberant patio. The living room furniture is in flamboyant red, with Baroque motifs. The decorative abundance can also be seen on the floor, with antique carpets covering the tiles. Numerous plants add a green touch to this space, which features a fountain installed on a trompe-l’oeil wall. The entire hotel is decorated in this way, including the rooms with four-poster beds. Why not enjoy it in the magnificent library or pub?

11. Hotel Alfonso XIII (5 stars)
Why stay there?
This hotel is a must in Sevilla. It was built at the request of King Alfonso XIII, who reigned in Spain from 1886 to 1931. The aim was to build Europe’s most luxurious palace in the context of the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition. The aim of the exhibition was to demonstrate the bonds of brotherhood between Spain, Portugal, Brazil, the United States and Latin America. We loved the establishment’s traditional neo-Mudejar style, featuring azulejos and marquetry ceilings. There’s a bar, two restaurants, a lush garden and a large outdoor swimming pool. 13. Hotel Torre Sevilla (5 stars)
Why stay there?
Although this hotel’s location is a little off the beaten track from the city center (25min walk from the cathedral), we think it deserves a place in this selection. In fact, it’s the tallest building in Andalucia. Its 13th floor offers a superb view of Sevilla. In harmony with the skyscraper’s architecture, you’ll find sleek, upscale contemporary decor. This is also true of the facilities, from the wellness center (gym, spa, sauna and massage salon) to the panoramic “El Duende” restaurant. In our opinion, this hotel offers excellent value for money. First of all, the welcome is warm. As soon as we arrived, the staff offered us a glass of sparkling wine while we waited to check in. Secondly, the common areas are well-decorated and pleasant. The reception area features a beautiful display case and charming antique decorative elements. The lounge and dining room are complemented by a pleasant terrace for a snack or a drink at the bar. Although small, there’s an outdoor swimming pool on the roof, surrounded by a solarium. The contemporary furniture is very comfortable. If you’re a gourmand, you’ll also find that the quality breakfast is particularly well-stocked.
