Perched on a rocky outcrop, the town of Ronda offers a stunning natural setting for food lovers. Although some tourist addresses lack authenticity, we’ve unearthed Ronda’s culinary nuggets for you.
Choose from farmhouses where you can enjoy lunch in the heart of nature, cosy tapas bars and even gourmet restaurants where chefs boldly blend local flavors.
In this article, you’ll find our list of the best restaurants to eat at in Ronda.
This opinion is completely independent, based on our experiences. We made our own choices, visited the area anonymously, and paid our bills in full.
1. Restaurant Tragatá (bistronomic)
Here’s an address of choice for epicureans in search of the Andalucia soul.
Helmed by chef Benito Gómez, whose Restaurant Bardal in Ronda also boasts two Michelin stars, this restaurant combines authenticity and refinement.
We enjoyed classic tapas starters (including a delicious Russian salad and original salmojero bites with spicy mayonnaise) before continuing with a perfectly grilled pork loin with an exquisite watercress sauce.
While service can sometimes be slow, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail that goes into each preparation, Tragatá’s warm welcome and elegant surroundings will soon make you forget this slight delay.

2. LA Organic Experience restaurant (magnificent setting)
An ideal option if you’re in the mood for a moment out of time. Located in the heart of nature, on the estate surrounded by olive groves and vineyards of our favorite hotel in Ronda, the LA Organic Experience farm-to-table restaurant is, in our opinion, a must-try!
In addition to the enchanting setting overlooking the surrounding countryside, we were delighted by the high-quality local produce. On the menu: cheese boards, cold cuts (lomo, chorizo, cecina), tasty tapas (see photo) and great bowling!
To accompany our gourmet platters with a touch of lightness, we opted for the generous salads, delicately drizzled with olive oil produced on the estate. With its incomparable flavor, we couldn’t resist leaving with a bottle (available in the restaurant store). And for gourmets who want to go one step further, tasting workshops are even available on site: see prices and availability here.

3. Restaurant Tabanco Los Arcos (wine shop)
Nestled beneath the arches of a centuries-old mansion, the discreet sign of the Tabanco Los Arcos Restaurant gives no hint of the treasure it contains. A tabanco is the French equivalent of a wine bar, with a rustic, tavern-style decor. In these “tabancos”, people come mainly to drink wine, and we enjoyed the selection of nectars, almost exclusively from the vineyards of the surrounding Serranía. But Los Arcos wouldn’t be complete without its tasty and generous tapas. We tried their bocadillos (small sandwiches) at lunchtime and had a wonderful time!
In short, we wholeheartedly recommend this confidential, family-friendly address.

- Andalucia specialities: yes
- Particularly suitable for children: no
- Reservations can be made on +34 657 161 641, and we particularly recommend reserving the secluded table with its breathtaking view of Puente Nuevo!
4. Confiteria El Tajo confectionery (sweet break)
It was during a stroll through the steep alleyways of the old medina that we came across this artisanal pastry and confectionery shop, enchanted by the sweet fragrance it gave off. Behind the window of this discreet stall, the local specialties immediately made our mouths water. You’ll find yemas de ronda, those delicate caramelized milk eggs, polvorones, those addictive little crumbly almond cakes, and other more classic sweets such as doughnuts and ice creams. One thing’s for sure: you’ll thank us for this address, ideal for a gourmet stopover between two visits!

5. Restaurant Entre Vinos (wine library)
You’ll come here above all for the warm, authentic atmosphere of this typical wine bar! We spotted this address by the lively atmosphere, and when we looked at the menu, we were enticed by the variety of tapas on offer. We recommend classics such as setas al ajillo (garlic mushrooms) or a charcuterie platter.
For something a little more original, try tuna tataki or sardines in escabeche. And what about the wine list? A careful selection of Ronda’s finest vintages, for a simply divine marriage of flavors.
If you want to extend the experience at home, you can even take a bottle home with you, as the restaurant also serves as a wine cellar!
