Hotel Corrala del Realejo, Granada - reviews

This opinion is completely independent, based on our experiences. We made our own choices, visited the area anonymously, and paid our bills in full.

Why stay at Hotel Corrala del Realejo?

Hotel Corrala del Realejo is the ideal address for those who want to enjoy Granada in maximum comfort. Its main assets are:

  • A unique rustic and rococo ambience: a distinctive décor adds a real charm to your stay. Far from aseptic standards, the hotel offers a strong, warm identity that leaves no one indifferent.
  • The perfect combination of apartment and hotel: a real advantage! We enjoyed the space of a spacious apartment with a fully-equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, hob, crockery…), as well as 5-star hotel service.
  • The private Jacuzzi area and the view: From the window of our accommodation, the panorama of the mountains was delightful, and we loved relaxing in the Jacuzzi.

Is Hotel Corrala del Realejo worth it? Our review

Yes, absolutely. We were charmed by the standing of this establishment, which offers the services of a 5-star hotel with the comfort of an apartment! The staff were very attentive, and we particularly appreciated the details that made all the difference, such as the bottle of sparkling white wine and the cookies offered on arrival.
It’s one of our top 10 best places to stay in Granada!

Decoration and atmosphere

As soon as you enter, the tone is set. The overall ambiance is resolutely rustic and rococo. This aesthetic choice gives the hotel a special soul. Noble materials and decor steeped in history create a hushed, elegant atmosphere.

The bedroom (Apartment)

Our accommodation was named “Fortuny”, after the Granada-born painter Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo. Spacious and bright, we loved the old-fashioned decor with its sculpted medallions, floral paintings and chandeliers, and slept perfectly in our large, soft bed.

The big highlight was undoubtedly the modern, fully-equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook like at home: oven, microwave, hob, colander, saucepans, full set of crockery and coffee maker.
The little detail that makes all the difference? A welcome aperitif!

The bathroom

Although our focus was more on the room, the bathroom and amenities are up to 5-star standards. We found quality equipment and accessories.

The breakfast

It’s a gourmet moment not to be missed. We enjoyed delicious homemade food that delighted our taste buds early in the morning. On the menu: an excellent carrot cake, fragrant orange brioche, various viennoiseries and tasty local charcuterie. A generous breakfast with a focus on fresh produce. It is served in a shared lounge.

Equipment and common areas

We particularly appreciated the hotel’s charmingly decorated common areas! But the real attraction of this hotel is undoubtedly the outdoor pool (small, Jacuzzi-like), which is unheated but open in season. This area can be reserved for private use (2 deckchairs, bar and towels provided) for a special moment of relaxation away from the crowds. The hotel also offers bicycle rental for exploring the city.

The restoration

The hotel’s restaurant, located on the first floor, lets you enjoy a fine meal on a charming patio surrounded by lush vegetation. It’s a practical and pleasant option if you don’t want to go out for dinner after a long day’s sightseeing.

History

The hotel’s rooms pay homage to local culture. Our accommodation, the “Fortuny”, celebrated Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo, the famous painter from Granada. This cultural anchorage adds an artistic and historical dimension to the establishment, recalling Granada’s rich artistic past.
