From the moment we arrived, the staff’s welcome set the tone: attentive, warm and always available. Arriving earlier than usual, we were able to enjoy breakfast while waiting for our room – which was ready. A little surprise: all minibar drinks were included in the price.

The Palacio Solecio is our favorite in Malaga. Nestled in a former 18th-century palace a stone’s throw from theAlcazaba and the Cathedral, this address combines the prestige of history with the freshness of contemporary decor. Wooden beams, marble pillars and wrought-iron balustrades coexist harmoniously with resolutely modern furnishings.
The interior patio, with its checkerboard floors, brick walls and colorful frescoes, is a masterpiece in its own right. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the colors and noble materials to the adjustable in-room lighting. 3. Hotel Cortijo La Organic (Ronda)

Why we love Hotel Cortijo La Organic
Nestled in the heart of the Andalucia countryside, just ten minutes from Ronda, this hotel alone could have justified our trip. We found the setting striking: an old 19th-century building restored by the Philippe Starck studio, surrounded by olive trees and vines as far as the eye can see. Luxury here is sober, natural and in harmony with the environment.
But it’s above all the ethical and eco-responsible approach that makes this exceptional place so famous. Everything is designed to respect nature: permaculture vegetable garden, natural products, immersive activities (yoga, picnics in the vineyards, birdwatching). The 150 m² terrace with its view of the Serranía de Ronda is also very attractive.

4. Hotel Casa del Poeta (Sevilla)

Why we love Hotel Casa del Poeta
You have to know how to find it, hidden away in a narrow alleyway in Sevilla’s old town. The modest facade gives no hint of what awaits the visitor inside – and that’s precisely what makes it so charming. Once over the threshold, we discovered a magnificent Sevillian patio, whose orange hues turn red at nightfall under the effect of the lighting. It’s a magical sight that you wouldn’t expect to find so close to the cathedral.
Despite its proximity to Sevilla’s major tourist attractions, the atmosphere is surprisingly calm and serene. Terrace, library, massage room… everything is designed to make your stay a gentle interlude in the historic heart of the city.

5. Vincci Selección Posada del Patio (Malaga)

Why we love the Vincci Selección Posada del Patio
Here’s an address that really won us over. The first thing you notice about this luxury hotel is its architecture. Remains of Malaga’s ancient Arab walls have been preserved and integrated into the building, creating a dialogue between antiquity and modernity. You can access these remains in the basement, for an almost archaeological discovery.
The common areas are an invitation to relax. A luminous patio, a warm library and a breakfast room with floral decorations. The rooftop pool, large enough for a real swim, is also a rare luxury in Malaga. And the impeccable service completes an unforgettable experience.

6. Hotel Corrala del Realejo (Granada)

Why we love Hotel Corrala del Realejo
A rare gem in Granada. In our opinion, this establishment succeeds in combining the comfort and freedom of a plush apartment – with a fully equipped kitchen – with top-quality hotel service. We stayed in the “Fortuny” room, an elegant tribute to local painter Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo, and the experience was a memorable one.
The interior atmosphere oscillates between rustic and rococo, for a singular, enveloping ambience. The attentions of the staff – a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and homemade cookies, a delicious homemade breakfast – and the possibility of tailor-made tours thanks to the concierge service make this much more than just a hotel.

7. Hotel Casa Palacio Villa Zambra (Ronda)

Why we love Hotel Casa Palacio Villa Zambra
For a stay with character in Ronda, this hotel is a revelation. The facade of Casa Palacio Villa Zambra, unobtrusive in the alleyways of the old medina, gives no hint of what awaits the visitor inside. Once you cross the threshold, you’ll discover a cocoon of authentic, intimate luxury, where each of the five rooms tells its own story.

This hotel left us speechless. Behind this unassuming façade, you wouldn’t expect to find a patio so abundant and exuberant. The flamboyant red lounge furniture with its baroque motifs, the antique rugs covering the floor tiles, the many plants, the trompe-l’oeil fountain… all combine to create a lush, baroque atmosphere unique to Sevilla.
The whole hotel plays the same score. Four-poster beds in the bedrooms, a library and pub full of old-fashioned charm, an outdoor swimming pool on the terrace. For lovers of typical Andalucia and Baroque decorations, this is a must-see address.

10. Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailio (Cordoba)

Why we love Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailio
A stay in this establishment is much more than a night in a hotel: it’s an immersion in the history of Cordoba. Housed in a 16th-century palace in the heart of the historic center, it elegantly blends the vestiges of the past – original wall frescoes, flower gardens, a terrace shaded by orange trees – with the most refined comfort.
Some rooms feature beautiful materials such as leather and velvet, creating a cosy atmosphere. The Bodyna spa and two swimming pools complete the offer of this hotel, just 15 minutes’ walk from the Mezquita-Catedral. We really enjoyed staying there.

12. Hotel Cathedral Almeria (Almería)

Why we love Hotel Cathedral Almeria
Housed in a former 19th-century palatial residence on the Plaza de la Catedral, the Hotel Cathedral Almeria won us over as much for its history as for its architecture. Its great originality? A thousand-year-old cistern restored as an events hall, a hidden treasure testifying to the city’s multicultural past.
The 20 rooms combine sober, contemporary decor with direct views of the cathedral’s imposing towers. The La Catedral restaurant invites you to sample creative Mediterranean cuisine, and the rooftop – with pool, solarium and La Azotea bar – is in our opinion one of the best places in Almería to enjoy a sunset over the rooftops.

Nestled in a historic mansion less than a minute’s walk from the Mezquita-Catedral, this establishment is an urban refuge. The decor features carefully selected antique elements, creating an atmosphere of calm right in the heart of the tourist hustle and bustle.
In our opinion, another of its assets is the rooftop restaurant, which offers refined cuisine with a breathtaking view of the Mezquita-Catedral. A delightful sight to behold with a drink in hand. Why we love Hotel Soho Boutique Duques de Medinaceli
Housed in an 18th-century palace in El Puerto de Santa María, this establishment is the antithesis of large, impersonal hotel complexes. In our opinion, everything here exudes charm, calm and authenticity. The soul of the place has been preserved, and the generous volumes of the rooms and common areas will imbue your stay with discreet elegance.

The reception, with its beautiful window display and antique decorative elements, the warm lounge, the dining room and the terrace for a snack or a drink… the communal areas exude an atmosphere full of personality.
